ABOUT SHADRACH

Bishop Dr. Shadrach D. Martin is a visionary leader, apostolic minister, and community architect whose life and work reflect a calling to serve the Church, strengthen leaders, and transform communities through faith, strategic leadership, and holistic empowerment.

His journey in ministry began in November 2001 when he received his Certificate of License in Ministry, followed by his Certificate of Ordination in September 2007. In 2011, he responded to God’s call by founding Live Church, a thriving ministry in St. Louis that serves as a place of worship, community outreach, and spiritual development.

Under Bishop Martin’s leadership, Live Church has become a cornerstone of spiritual life and service in the city — offering worship, discipleship programming, community engagement, and ministries that uplift and empower people from all walks of life.

Bishop Martin’s leadership extends beyond the local church. In 2007, he established Heavenly Hearts Daycare Center in Bellefontaine, Missouri. What began as a single location has since grown into three centers throughout St. Louis. These early childhood education hubs provide nurturing environments, including infant care and STEAM-focused learning, preparing young learners for future success.

His spiritual leadership has been formally recognized through multiple appointments with the Church of God in Christ (COGIC):

  • Ordained Pastor (May 2015)

  • Superintendent (July 2016)

  • Administrative Assistant (July 2017)

  • Consecrated Auxiliary Bishop (April 2022)

THE JURNEE FOUNDATION

In 2018, Bishop Martin founded the Jurnee Foundation, a ministry dedicated to meeting critical community needs by providing food, clothing, and essential resources to underserved populations. During the 2020 pandemic, he launched the Feeding Families Program, addressing local food insecurity while creating employment opportunities for community members. That same year, he initiated an Affordable Housing Project to offer stable, affordable homes for low-income families.

ACADEMIC AND MINISTRY CREDENTIALS

Bishop Martin holds:

  • An Associate Degree in Biblical Studies from Cohen Seminary Institute

  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification in early childhood education

  • An Honorary Doctorate in Ministry Leadership from Harvest Christian University

NATIONAL COHORTS

Bishop Martin is also the visionary behind EQUIP LeaderLink, a national ministry leadership cohort that equips pastors and ministry leaders for effective ministry, revitalizes struggling churches, and fosters collaborative growth and lasting community impact. He also leads Faith Alive Children's Program, a national cohort that trains pastors and leaders to nurture children ages 4-12 through worship and prayer.

SPIRIT-LED AND COMMUNITY DRIVEN

Guided by a passion to serve and an unwavering commitment to empowering others, Bishop Shadrach D. Martin leads with both spiritual depth and practical vision — equipping believers, strengthening leaders, and building systems that bring lasting transformation to individuals, families, and communities.

He embodies the biblical call to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12, ESV), demonstrating that true leadership develops not only through preaching but through cultivating people, fostering community health, and creating pathways that expand opportunity and deepen faith.
